Outlook: Balance Sheets

Household balance sheets are no longer uniformly deteriorating. However, neither are they uniformly improving. These mixed messages are consistent with the turning point in the economy. The recession is over, but the economy remains very weak. Further, the consumer is among the weakest parts of the economy....
