Confidence Slumps
Consumer confidence fell in October, according to the Conference Board. The decline was not unexpected since the index usually falls in October, although the magnitude and composition of the decline were concerning. Not only did the index fall more than typical for a nonrecessionary October, but assessments of labor market conditions fell to new cyclical lows.... |
