Release Information

Number of hired employees, by 21 NACE Rev.2 sections, sub nationally for all 10 NUT 3 areas, annually from 2007.

This data set provides region-wise information on the average number of hired employees under various economic activities classified according to EVRK 2, the localization of NACE Rev.2, identical at the upper four levels.

Employed persons refer to persons aged 15 and older doing any kind of work, for which they are remunerated in cash or in kind or have income or profit.  The scope excludes managers.

Main job is a job done by a person during working hours set by legislation or a collective agreement. If a person has two jobs, the main job is the one whe­re the person wor­ks more hours. Second job is a job done at a time other than the main job, for which a person is remunerated or has profit (income).

The data are provided by Statistics Lithuania. This dataset is not a statistical survey, but is instead computed principally using the social insurance paid by employers on behalf of employees.

From 2003 to 2007: by 17 NACE Rev.1.1 sections; geographically for the nation, all 10 NUTS 3 areas, and all 61 LAU 1 areas.

From 2007: by 21 NACE Rev.2 sections; geographically for the nation and all 10 NUTS 2 areas.

The data may be subject to revisions.

This release also contains discontinued series based on NACE Rev.1.1.
