Release Information

This particular survey measures home price index in both national and subnational Netherlands. It measures dwellings as terraced houses, corner houses, semi-detached houses, detached houses, and apartments. House boats and caravans, holiday homes, and residential units with shared facilities (i.e. student housing and elderly homes) are not included.

Price index
The index of existing own homes is related to dwellings sold to a private person and intended for permanent residence by a private person.
Number of sold dwellings
The number measured at the end of the period under review.
Total value purchase prices
The total value of purchase prices is related to dwellings sold to a private person and intended for permanent residence by a private person.
Dwelling
A residential building that - from a construction-technical point of view - is intended for permanent residence by one private household.
Single family dwelling
A self-contained residential building, such as detached houses, semi-detached houses, farmhouses, and other types of terraced houses.
Multi-family dwelling - Apartment
A self-contained residential unit within a larger residential building. A residential unit is defined as a flat, if the building it is situated in has been split up in accordance with strict rules.
