Fiscal Policy

Presentations on the prospects and the effect of fiscal policy across all levels of government.

Moody’s Analytics economists present the prospects for fiscal policy across all levels of government, assessing how much fiscal space those governments have to weather changes in the business cycle. Changes in fiscal policy can have significant implications for an economy and play different roles depending on where we are in the business cycle. In the U.S., this includes monitoring state and local government’s fiscal situations and their potential implications for the economy, as well as advising governments themselves on the most prudent fiscal actions to take.
