Release Information

The data are derived from the Labour Force Survey (LFS) using the ILO approach. The LFS is based on a quarterly random sample of dwellings from all areas of the Slovak Republic. The sample covers 10,250 dwellings in the Slovak Republic, which represent 0.6% of all permanently occupied dwellings. The LFS collects the data on every person living in the household of a selected dwelling. The LFS covers approximately 25,000 people, aged 15 or over, every quarter. The institutional population (that is, persons in prisons, convents, etc..) is not included in the survey. Each selected household remains in the sample for five consecutive quarters.

Seasonally adjusted quarterly data on total employment and employment rate are published in the quarterly publication "Labour Force Sample Survey Results in the SR" within 3 months after the end of the reference quarter.
