Friday, 27 Mar 2020 17:45 ET
By Jason Flynn
Summary
March 2020 -- For the labor force status measures for Chile, concurrent with dissemination of results for January 2020, the source has advanced the benchmark from the 2002 to 2017 national census (112 monthly series from 2010 to 2019, replaced by 112 from 2010). We have added all newly-reported series, and have synchronized our SA supplements.
Detail

In response, we have:

  1. Archived the predecessors (112 series) by renaming with an "_19" specifier, marking metadata as "discontinued", and segregating in the catalog.
  2. Created one-for-one replacements.
  3. Added newly-reported series (113).
  4. Transplanted global concept aliases to active series.
  5. Synchronized seasonally adjusted supplements.

Notable properties (for full list, see background):

  • Measurements: No change
  • Start date: No change
  • Corpus: Increased from 112 to 225

The series reside in the historical catalog:

  • Chile » Labor and Wages  » Labor force survey » Labor force status » Benchmark 2017, from 2009
  • Chile » Labor and Wages  » Labor force survey » Labor force status » Discontinued » 1986 to 2019

New series include, for example:

  • LWQSFJT3MUM.ICHL_TA   = Unemployed - Seeking first job - Both sexes, (Ths. # 3-mo MA, NSA) - for Tarapaca
  • LWQULT3MUM.ICHL_AN    = Unemployed - Previously unemployed - Both sexes - for Antofagasta
  • LWQIPJSLT3MUM.ICHL_AT = Inactive population - Job seekers with limited availability - Both sexes - for Atacama
