Yes. Figures for the interval 2002 to 2009 were revised on the basis of the 2011 Census of Population [footnote].

For population by age, CYSTAT reported percent share through 2001, and levels from 2002 onwards. We have calculated extensions to both groups, which we notate in the series metadata.

There are gaps in early years: 1993 and 1994 for population, 1991 to 1993 for demographics.

Life expectancy is published in two-year blocks, so the reference years are ambiguous.

Cyprus reports "marriages of Cyprus residents" and "all marriages." There is no explanation, but Moody's Analytics surmises that the distinction is necessary because Cyprus is a popular location for "destination weddings."

For 2010 to 2011, figures were initially omitted for these series:

  • VSQMARUA.ICYP = Marriages
  • VSQDIVUA.ICYP = Divorces

We are unaware of an official posted methodology.
